When it comes to browsing, you simple can’t ignore Firefox. According to W3School Browser stats, 37.1% of the world’s internet users use Firefox, followed by 35.3% users for Google Chrome. This makes Firefox the most popular web browser in the whole world. Such large numbers speak of something much more subtle than just browsing. The fact is, browser addons are just as important as the browsing itself. And since Firefox is the most used browser, we thought we should look at some of the most popular plugins, so that you know what you can do with your fox.

This is one of my favorite plugins. It allows you to save webpages, which you can later read at your own leisure. This is not a bookmarking plugin which saves URLs of the pages. No. It saves the entire pages on your hard disk, so you can read them in offline mode. Handy when you are travelling and don’t have internet connectivity. Or simply, when you like an article, but don’t have the time to read it.Read it later will save it for you. There are also Android and iPhone apps for Read it Later, which allow you to do the same thing. Pretty handy for any internet surfer

A helper it is! And a great one too. With this extension, you can download any video from the most popular video sharing websites such as YouTube, Vimeo, Meta Cafe etc. Once downloaded, you can watch those videos offline, and use them as you please! Since most sharing websites don’t allow you to download their videos, this is a useful little tool that every YouTuber or video fan should have

Show My Password
This plugin shows you your typed passwords instead of the conventional steric. Now you might be wondering, why would you want to do that? Well, it comes in handy when you are making mistakes in passwords.This tool shows your typed letters for a few seconds, so it lets you know where the mistake is. It also helps when you are setting new passwords, so you know what you are doing. Just beware of its misuse though. People could install this on your computer, and take off with your passwords that you type in. So be careful around this little tool.

This is a free, secure and cross-platform FTP/SFTP client for Firefox. It provides easy access to FTP/SFTP servers, directory comparison and directory synchronization, searching and filtering, file editing, SSL encryption, and much more! A must have if you are a web-developer of a domain owner.
Greasemonkey and AdBlock Plus
Greasemonkey is a small tool that customizes the way a webpage looks or behaves. It makes use of JavaScripts. AdBlock Plus is an ad blocker. Am I the only one who is annoyed by ads? Apparently not! Which is why developers made this tool that can exclude almost all kinds of ads from a website. Use both the tools together, and you’ve got yourself an ad-free webpage which you can enjoy to the fullest!

Print Edit
For those of you who print webpages often, here is a very useful tool that lets you edit the image you want to print. You can crop images and stuff. Also, you can hide any elements of a webpage that you do not want to be displayed in the print-out, without changing the layout the page you are on.

Now this is one great plugin online shoppers like me simply must have! Click on product image to Instantly see if it is available on eBay. Not only that, it lets you compare prices for any product from a range of more than 6,000 online stores, including all the major ones such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Best Buy etc. All you need to do is, whenever you are shopping for an item online, you will see a “See Similar” button. Just click on it, and it will automatically fetch similar items across various stores for you! Now that is one hell of a useful plugin!
