He is a Korean born American entrepreneur and is now the owner of the world’s famous and repaid growing fashion retail store names as Forever 21. It is because of his hard work and endless efforts that this store has now 450 branches scattered in more than 15 countries of the world. But it was around three decades ago that Do Won Chang had to deal with his odd life and his parents being poor, he had to work at odd hours with several odd jobs among which washing dishes, being a gas station attendant and a janitor are prominent ones.
How Life Treated Him!
He expresses that when he landed to United States he tries literally almost everything from dish washing cleaning to working part time at a gas station and cramped coffee shop. But doing these jobs, he got interested in fashion and decided to go for retail career. He was actually born during the year 1981 in South Korea and moved to California at the age of 18. He opened his own fashion retail and clothing center known as Fashion 21 during 1984 in Highland Park, Los Angeles. It was his luck that during the initial year of his sales he managed to earn around $700,000 from $35,000.
With the immense success of this fashion retail outlet, he decided to open a new branch of it every six months and it was due to his intention and objective that he managed to expand his business to different counties and locations of the world without being afraid of all the obstacles that must have come in his way. Later he changed the name of his store to Forever 21 and it was during the year 2012 that Forbes magazine listed his name along with his wife’s among the richest individuals of this world having their net worth around 4 billion dollars.

He came to America with nothing but big dreams in his eyes and he did made them true only with his empire-building predisposition, fortitude and determination that he held in reserve alive during the course of his scuffles.
