The 66th Cannes Film Festival has recently reached its end after the nine days celebration in France. It is an annual Film festival held in Cannes, France which was founded back in 1946. Since then, the festival is celebrated each year, somewhere in the month of May. It is here that the previews of all new movies and documentaries are brought in to the limelight. Cannes Film Festival 2013!
The festival started with a red carpet on 15th May and ended on May 26th. This was the 66th annual Film Festival where almost all the popular celebrities were seen, often discusses either for their outfits or for their charisma in general.
The competition was tough but the selection of Jury was also done accordingly. It was Steven Spielberg, the Film Director from New Zealand, who headed the jury for the main competition. The ceremonies were more than a fun for the participants and was hosted by French actress Audrey Tautou.
The festival was set to be open with the movie “The Great Gatsby”, been directed by Baz Luhrmann and closed with the movie “Zulu”.

Being the largest Film industry of the world, Hollywood enjoyed an upper-hand on all other industries that different countries represented. From the famous celebrities like Operah Winfrey to the great actors like Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio, the festival was all over loaded with such shining stars.

Bollywood Celebrities at Cannes Film Festival
It was only on this platform that the second largest entertainment industry, Bollywood too celebrated its 100 successful years of Indian Cinema. There were many Bollywood actors and directors who were seen happily participating in the event including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar.
