Who is Amitabh Bachchan?

A living legend in Hindi-language cinema, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, “The Big B,” of Indian Cinema, the “Muqaddar ka Sikandar”, tall, handsome, diligent and the man of thoughts, has made over 150 films in a career spanning 40 years. Just imagine that, out of these 150 movies, 100 rocked the box office while others doing an average business. Amitabh Bachchan is one of the top 20 richest people of India, and the 8th richest Actor of India. including property and ABCL company and also have shares in multinational companies abroad so his total wealth is 2000 Million Rupees!

Personal Life:

The man who rules the Hearts of trillions of fans, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan was born on October 11, 1942 in Allahabad. His father Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a great poet. Amitabh Bachchan received his early education from Sherwood College that is located in Nainital, India, and later received a degree in science from Delhi University. It’s might come as a surprise for most of his Fans, that His first job was in Shaw Wallace, and later he worked as a freight broker for a shipping firm called Bird and Co. he, himself said in one of his interviews that I was reading few days ago that life in India isn’t easy to live, and it was much more difficult for him initially.

Mr. Bachchan is married to actress Jaya Bhaduri. They have two children, Shweta Nanda and Abhishek Bahan.

Bollywood Career:

Amitabh Bachchan started his filmy Career in 1969, and made his debut in the film Saat Hindustani, directed by K.A. Abbas. Unfortunately, the Film failed on the box-office but Amitabh’s amazing personality and separate entity as an actor was noticed by film makers like Hrishikesh Mukherji and Sunil Dutt. Hrishikesh Mukherji was too kind to give Mr. Bachan another break. Probably the first break that changed his life totally, gave him a role in his two films, Anand and Guddi. Amitabh still treat Mukherji as his Godfather.

Anand, being his third film, brought a filmfare award for best supporting role. The next milestone he achieved was “Zanjeer, which turned out to be super-hit. By then he was successful in making a new avatar for him and proved himself as a versatile actor,

BY 1990, Amitabh was getting older and decided to take a break in 1992. He then launched ABCL which was a talented commercial enterprise. However it did not work out for him and he found himself in great debts. At the same time the movies he picked to work with also turned into a failure. Political career:

In 1984, Amitabh took briefly entered politics in support of long-time family friend, Rajiv Gandhi. He contested Allahabad’s Lok Sabha seat against H. N. Bahuguna, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and won by the one of the highest victory margins in general election history (68.2% of the vote). However, his political career was short-lived: He resigned after three years, calling politics a septic tank.
During a financial crisis due to the failure of his company ABCL, it was his old friend, Amar Singh who helped him. Therefore Bachchan started to support Amar Singh’s political party, the Samajwadi party. Jaya Bachan joined the Samajwadi Party and became a Rajya Sabha member. Bachan has continued to do favors for the Samajwadi party, including advertisements and political campaigns.

Secret of Success:

The reason behind his achievements is the fact that whatever he have done in his life, he did that whole-heartedly, he focused on the work and delivered 200% of him. He has been keen enough to know what his audience wants from him. Another best thing about this man is that, he is a man of family, he has never neglected his family and this, and itself is a characteristic of a successful man.
